Cast a spell with the Witch & Wizard

 The character that I think changed the most in the story is Byron Swain.Byron went to school with Whit and Wisty and now,he's with the New Order.In Witch and Wizard,Byron is the weasel that tells the New Order(N.O.)that the Allgoods are wizards,leading to Wisty and Whit and Mr. and Mrs.Allgood getting separated and arrested.This makes the Allgoods,especially Wisty,to hate Byron more than they did before.Later in the book,Wisty accidentally turns Byron into a weasel with magic,and gives him the nickname "The Tattling Weasel" because he "tattled" on the Allgoods to the New Order.Later on,Byron gets turned back into a human and help Whit and Wisty to fight the Order.(He obviously quits the N.O.).

       I think Richelle Mead wrote Vampire Academy and the rest of the books in the series to show friendship and love.Richelle is probably trying to say that though Lissa is a  Moroi princess and Rose is a Dhampir,they're still best friends even though they're two different people.So opposites attract.Rose is very protective of Lissa because 
1) she's a Moroi princess and 
2) she's trying to protect her from the Strigoi.Ever since Lissa's family died,Rose has been there for her.Taking care of Lissa and risking her life for her.
